This year I really want to post a ton more makeup inspiration looks. Maybe some celeb inspired, definitely continue my Makeup Color Series and some Instagram inspired looks too. Let me know if that would be appealing to you?
Today I played around with some eye shadows and created this ‘semi cut crease’ look. I was actually going for a more subtle every day look but I’m not complaining when the creative juices started flowing and ended up with this glam look.
Using the Catrice primer which feels and looks like a moisturizer, I applied to my T-zone to ensure my makeup lasts all day and oils do not peek through after only a short period of time. This honestly isn’t really my favorite primer but seeing that I have it, I will use it till it’s done which isn’t a long way to go.
This was the first time I used this Avon foundation after shortly receiving it. I don’t want to disclose too much info and save it for a first impression/ review which will be coming up.
I still love this concealer and sadly I’m running out (crying face). I will definitely repurchase this in the future when I get round to the urban decay store. It brightens and covers my dark under eye circles so well.
I need to pick up another Wet n Wild contour and highlight as this is my third palette. This does have a ton of kick up which is probably why I go through this powder quite quickly, but for the price, blend-ability and pigmentation it’s amazing and I will continue to repurchase this powder. The contour side I used on the parameters of my face to contour. The highlight side I use to set my under eye area and T-zone. This helps brighten my highlighted areas and makes me look awake and healthy.
I’ve had this blush for so long yet it looks as if I’ve barely touched it. The pigmentation is very intense so I suggest going in with a very light hand on the apples of my cheeks and the just above my cheek contour.
Another Wet n Wild product, but I can’t help it, their products are so good. This is my favorite highlighter from Wet n Wild as it suits my complexion well and makes the high points of my face beam. I applied this on the high points of my cheeks bones, a little bit on the nose and above my eyebrows.
I did a full review on this brow pencil. It comes very close to the Benefit Precisely My Brow pencil and I love it. I use this to outline and fill in my brows for the hair like strokes and created what I thought were my perfect brow hairs/ style.
I then set my brows with this brow gel that I’m almost out of (I’m running out of so many products, send help!)
I cannot get enough of this palette as you can tell I’m beginning to hit pan on quite a few shades. From the first top row the first shade far right corner which is matte I used to highlight my brow bone, but added a shimmer shade which is the 4th shade also in the first top row.
The second row I used the 2 shades indicated in my crease as transition shades with a blending brush.
For the outer crease I used the purple shade from the 4th row in the far right corner as well as all the brown shades in the last/ 5th row which contains mostly matte shades and one shimmer. The rose gold shade also in the last row isn’t actually a morphe eye shadow. I accidentally shattered the morphe shade that was in this palette and then just removed it and replaced it with this Mac Cosmetics eye shadow shade. I used this Mac shade on my inner part of my eyelids with a flat, dense brush and packed this shade on a couple of times to intensify it.
I lined my upper lash line and created a wing with this liner. Surprisingly I didn’t do a massive or dramatic wing, rather a short, thin wing. Using the Essence liner I lined over the black liner and then in the crease as well to create the cut crease effect.
I added just one layer of mascara to my upper and lower lashes, and lined my waterline using this gorgeous brown sheen.
For lashes I threw away the box but I used the Ardell demi whispies. It’s a bit long or longer than the ones I usually wear but I still love the length and volume it provided.
I don’t hear anyone talk about Colourpop’s metallic lippies. I don’t really like how this shade looks on its own on, but with a lip gloss on top it looks so good. Especially the Mac lip glass which creates such a ‘wet like’ sheen which makes the lips appear extra glossy and juicy.
Thanks for stopping by:)
