Years back I use to love ordering from Avon and a couple of friends and family members were Avon Reps so it use to be very convenient to get Avon products. My cousin is now a Rep so therefore it’s once again easily accessible. She sends over the book for us to browse, we place the order with her and it’s then delivered. Very easy/ simple.
Their products has evolved throughout the years but some are staples. I’ve become familiar with their products to know what I like and what I don’t. For starters their lip products and mascara I do really enjoy, as well as their nail polishes. This time round I decided to purchase a stick concealer and a light weight foundation.

I’m going to be honest both the concealer and foundation were on discount hence why I purchased it and both those items came to about R100 only so that’s why I purchased it. I love concealers and foundations and don’t mind exploring especially if it’s on a discount.
I applied this concealer on the back of my hand to test the formula and it seemed very dry (hence the oil free claim). I knew I probably wouldn’t be able to wear this under my eyes or alone under my eyes. However I do have some discoloration around my mouth and a little on my jawline right now so I figured it would be perfect for those areas. I applied it over my foundation on those areas and decided to highlight my t-zone with this stick as well. Man oh man was it tough to blend out with a beauty sponge and brush. The formula seems to glide on the skin very easily with no tugging, but because it’s oil free I presume the only way this concealer can be blended out is with your fingers. The warmth of my finger tips allowed this concealer to blend. For some reason I decided to apply this under my eyes just to test it out and blend it out with my finger tips too.
This didn’t conceal my under eye circles as much as I hoped it would because swatching this on my hand it seemed highly pigmented, only once blended out on the face I noticed that the coverage fades a bit. The only complaint with this is that it looked as if the concealer was sitting on top of my skin and emphasizes pores so I wouldn’t apply it on my cheeks next time and only focus it just under my eyes.
The next day I decided to use this concealer in conjunction with a liquid concealer. I applied this concealer first under my eyes, around the mouth and t-zone, then I applied a lightweight liquid concealer on top and loved the outcome so much better. I achieved the coverage I desired and it didn’t crease under my eyes and lasted throughout the day.
I think overall this is an average product. I’m kind of on the fence, I’m not completely loving it and I’m not completely hating it. I just don’t think I would confidentially recommend this to anyone.

When they say lightweight, they mean hella lightweight/ Nude. I applied this thinking that it would give me a little bit of converge seeing that it claims to actually be a foundation. This gave me zero coverage at all. At all. It actually reminded me of a tinted moisturizer which I’m not someone that wears a lightweight, tinted moisturizer or B.B cream. Either I’m wearing makeup or I’m not. The reason I purchased this is to see if its comparable to the Mac Studio Face and Body Foundation which I loved for an every day Foundation or a ‘natural/ simple’ makeup look. Unfortunately this was even lighter coverage than the Face and Body from Mac.
Another thing is that it applied super blotchy, certain areas of my face were slightly tinted than other areas especially on my cheeks. I’m guessing that because it’s matte with built-in oil blotting technology that causes the patchiness and uneven application to appear. I ended up mixing this with a full coverage foundation instead of wiping it off and starting my entire skincare prep again.
Overall this was a complete fail on the foundation and i will stick to my medium to full coverage foundations, and if I want a lightweight foundation I will trust the Mac foundation.
I really do love the packaging of both these products. But maybe both these products would work for oily to very oily skin. I have combination to dry skin and I can get away with a lot of foundations or concealers that are oil free, matte and geared towards oily skin. This however was too Matte and overly drying for myself.
