How I Take Care Of My Hands

Hey Beauties!

Just wanted to share what I do at home to maintain soft, smooth hands. Not only can we tell signs of aging by looking at the face and neck, but we often forget the hands which is also another sign.

I did a post on how I take care of my feet/ pedicure which is what I do about once a month. But taking care of my hands is also important as I do take care of my hands a bit more than my feet.

I received this gift set as a Christmas gift and was so grateful. It has the basic necessities to achieve soft hands. I use the hand cream every night and during the day. The Hand Soak and Exfoliator I use once a week. I must admit I’m not usually a fan of lavender scented products but this scent I really don’t mind, it’s rather pleasant. All these products contain Vitamin E. Vitamin E works to block free radicals from the body, which play a large part in the aging process. If we can fight off free radicals, then we can reduce wrinkles and keep the skin youthful-looking.

Lavender Hand Soak:

I use about half a teaspoon of this in a bowl of lukewarm water and place my hands in it for a about 7 minutes. Already my hands feel soft as these products has a moisturizing factor to it.

Lavender Exfoliator:

I then exfoliate my hands thoroughly right up to my elbows and rinse. This isn’t a harsh exfoliator that leaves my skin red or sensitive, it gently removes dead skin cells.

Lavender Hand and Nail Cream:

I can be quiet picky when it comes to hand creams. The scent, texture, creaminess has to be just right in order for me to use the entire tube. I’m happy with this as the scent is pleasant, the texture is quiet thick but very moisturizing and nourishing, and it does not leave a sticky or that greasy residue on my hands which is such a bonus. I hate hand creams that make me feel like I dipped my hands in a glass of oil. I love that there’s a mini tube for my handbag as well as a bigger tube which I keep beside my bed.

This set can be purchased at any Woolworths.

Once I’ve completed this process I then file, do cuticle work and paint my nails and I feel brand new.

Thanks for stopping by 😊
