My skin has been a tad dry and dehydrated lately. Which is a bit odd as it’s summer time and usually my t-zone gets a little oily during the day, but overall my entire face and neck has been dry during this period. I always incorporate oils in my skincare regime during winter, but I’ve decided to incorporate oil into my routine all year round now seeing that it’s already starting to get dry and dehydrated. I have not tried this particular facial oil before and decided to give it a go. I do enjoy so much products from The Body Shop and therefore had high hopes for this oil. Also, this was fairly inexpensive which is also a bonus.
As per the website:

How To Use:
Apply 1-2 drops onto face and neck and gently massage into skin every morning and evening before applying a cream. Avoid eye area. Tips: You can add a drop of Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil to your daily cream.
Although I have dry skin, I despise any heavy, greasy or thick oils or creams that makes me feel like I’ve bathed in olive oil for 5 hours and has not fully absorbed or sit on the skin leaving a greasy film.
That’s why I love lightweight, fast absorbing, thin but moisturizing and hydrating oils for my skin. I don’t overuse product and usually stick to the recommended dosage or use just a little bit more if need be to also avoid that thick heavy, greasy feeling.
This thankfully is so lightweight, fast absorbing and provides the utmost nourishment and hydration my skin craved. What caught my attention when purchasing this is that the title said ‘revitalizing’ and that it contained the 3 precious oils and 99% oils of natural origin. I’m all about all natural ingredients in products lately.
The consistency is very thin, it does not leave behind a greasy film or sticky residue and gets to work fast. There’s no harsh scent, the scent is very light or faint and smells a tiny bit like flowers (or at least to me).
I apply about 3 to 4 drops every night onto my face, neck and décolleté after Cleansing and toning. I usually apply any oils last onto my skin (as oils are usually the last step in any skincare regime), but this is instructed to apply it first and then your moisturizer. However, I’ve been following the instructions provided as per the Body Shop. The first week I applied this oil my skin appeared so much more hydrated, nourished and plump. Every morning my skin still feels nourished and in the same state as the night before when I applied this oil and other skincare products thereafter.
I love how I can see results and my skin appears brighter and nourished in such a small amount of time. This does claim to give results within 4 weeks but mine took a bit less to see results.
I’ve also been adding about 2 drops to my day time moisturizer on days my skin needs a bit more nourishment. I’ve added 1 to 2 drops to matte foundations too and this method worked very well to give that natural, glowing appearance.
I would definitely recommend this product to you all as the benefits of this product and claims are magnificent.
