My skin has been through it lately. I felt like teenager with fine pimples and then one or two big pimples on my cheeks, jaw and forehead. Actually when I was a teenager I didn’t suffer from bad breakouts or acne whatsoever. I’ve had normal to dry skin my entire life. I remember suffering from fine pimples on my forehead years back but that was due to poor diet and stress. This time round I wasn’t sure what the cause was up until now.
As you might know I usually apply coconut oil a couple of hours before washing my hair. I decided to sleep with the coconut oil in my hair (which isn’t the first time I’ve done so). The next day my face felt as if it was beginning to form a bit of a rash. This did stain my pillows and rubbed off on my face during the night. Ps I forgot to place a towel on my pillows before I slept. I then applied calming products and it went away a couple of days later. Unfortunately the next week I broke out with these fine pimples on my jaw and forehead. I then went ham on acne treatment products, calamine lotion, tea tree oil etc. That honestly did no good at all. All I was doing was drying my skin out even further.
Until recently I figured out what the cause was. About 2 months ago I purchased wet wipes to remove my makeup. I still use the Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm but not on a daily basis and sometimes I would use that and then remove with the wet wipes. What I use to do is apply The Clinique Balm, dampen a cloth in lukewarm water and then remove my makeup. But seeing that I made that switch with the wet wipes instead, my skin was not having it. I’ve recently gone back to dampening my cloth and using the Clinique Balm every time I wear makeup. I even did a ‘test’ to see if it was definitely the wet wipes a couple of days later and my skin reacted and broke out once again.
After all that my skin has definitely calmed down and finally glad to know where the problem lied. Seeing that my skin was tremendously dehydrated and dry from using all those drying products I needed a mask that I could trust would work very well, and the only one that came to mind straight away was the infamous Glam Glow Thirsty Mud. This has truly saved my skin.
As per the website:

How to use:
Apply an even layer to clean skin 2-3 times per week (face, neck & décolleté). Leave on for 10-20 minutes, wipe off excess and/or massage into skin. Perfect for day, night and in-flight. Avoid eye area.
The packaging of all Glam Glow products are eye catching. I purchased the travel size because the standard size is too pricey. And considering the amount of products I test, it makes sense to purchase the small one which also does last longer than expected.
The scent is amazing. I know it contains fruit extracts, but I swear I could smell a hint of coconut, and not the fake disgusting coconut, but the true to scent real coconut. Overall it smells amazing.
The texture is very smooth and I applied an even layer for 20 minutes on my face and neck. Last night I slept with the mask on which did wonders for my skin this morning.
The first time I applied it my face did tingle ever so slightly, but that was because my skin was so dehydrated and dry, it literally drank every inch of this mask.
My skin felt super soft, silky and absolutely smooth after this mask. I could not have asked for anything less. This mask saved my skin and it was definitely what I needed.
My bumps and pimples have decreased so much and it’s getting back to a healthy appearance it once was before this breakout phase.
As you can tell I would definitely repurchase this mask, or any Glam Glow Mask to restore and save your skin’s needs.
I purchased mine at Woolworths.
