I’ve done a post on hair care products and tips on how I grow my hair, click here to view. Since that post I’ve added these two products into my routine. Reason being I ran out of my hair serum which I think I owned for about a year and a half. I decided to purchase hair oil this time. I am still trying to grow my hair and the more oils or nourishment I provide for my hair that seems to be speeding up the growing out process. I also decided to purchase a hair mask to use when I don’t use my coconut oil. So what I’ve been doing is applying the coconut oil one week and then the next week instead of using conditioner I would use the mask.
As per the website:
For anti-frizz and extra shine, particularly for dry or coarse hair. OI Oil adds shine and softness to hair while also detangling and fighting frizz.
Hair is shiny, hydrated, protected from styling and environmental factors and frizz-free.
Following OI Shampoo and Conditioner, towel-dry hair and smooth 2-3 drops of oil evenly over lengths and tips. It can also be applied to dry hair for extra shine.
CYCLOPENTASILOXANE, DISILOXANE, DIMETHICONOL, CYCLOHEXASILOXANE, ETHYLHEXYL METHOXYCINNATE, FRAGRANCE, TOCOPHEROL, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS (SUNFLOWER) SEED OIL, BIXA ORELLANA SEED EXTRACT, CITRONELLOL, MAURITA FLEXUOSA FRUIT OIL, GERANIOL, LINALOOL, ALPHA-ISOMETHYLIONONE, LIMONENE
I was told to use the tiniest amount of this on dry or damp hair. I made sure to do so as I would only be using one pump per use and only once or twice a week after washing my hair. The consistency is thin and I was worried that it would not provide enough nourishment for my dry hair. Surprisingly it did, the tiniest amount spreads very well and absorbs into the hair shaft quickly and effectively while nourishing my hair too. It does not make my hair oily or greasy looking even after a couple of days. It provides a sheen that makes my hair look healthy. I’ve been using this for about a month now and it looks like I have not used much at all. It does contain 50ml which I thought was too little and was worried that it wouldn’t last long. But because I only need to use one pump, maybe one and a half pump at most per use, I can see how this would actually last a while.
Overall I am very happy with this product and I would recommend it to anyone with any hair type.
As per the website:
Silicone-free nourishing melting masque for dry, undernourished hair. A new professional formula containing glycerol. Nourished, hair feels softer, more supple and is easier to detangle.
Directions for use: Apply evenly to cleansed, towel-dried hair. Leave on for 3-5 minutes. Rinse. In case of contact with eyes, rinse them immediately.
The scent of this masque is absolutely amazing! I was told this is the masque they use at the salon when getting your hair done. I absolutely love the Redken mask which is my favorite but they didn’t have the one I usually purchase which is also for dry hair. I was recommended this and I’m glad I tried this. The formula is very thick which I could tell is going to be very nourishing and hydrating. I don’t leave hair masks on for only 3 to 5 minutes. I usually leave mine in for at least 45 minutes and then rinse. This left my hair super soft, hydrated, and tangle free. Not only do I look for a mask that can make my hair feel and look great after drying my hair, but one that can last and maintain softness and nourishment till I need to wash my hair again days later. This performed and did exactly that.
Another recommendation if you on the hunt for a very good hair masque that’s silicone free, does the job well and smells terrific.
Both these products can only be purchased at Professional Hair Salons. I purchased the Hair Oil (50ml) at Carlton and the Hair Masque (200ml) at Partners.
