I’ve recently purchased some more Essence Cosmetics products and wanted to share my thoughts on these. I really do love Essence as a brand and the quality of their products is top notch especially for the price/ affordability.
I’ve seen these eye shadows on social media and been meaning to pick this up a while ago and finally did. The container or the empty eye shadow case is sold separately as well as the individual eye shadows. I purchased these four individual eye shadows and the eye shadow palette for them.
‘The soft powder eyeshadows are easy to apply, blend fabulously and provide long-lasting results. Simply choose your favorite shade from a large selection of eyeshadow colours and place it in the multifunctional palette with the special click-mechanism.’
I like the fact that the eye shadows are interchangeable and very easy to pop in and out of the palette. I chose one matte and 3 shimmer shades. The matte shade is a mauve/ purple shade which I’m absolutely loving. I applied this in the crease, outer corner of the eye and lower lash line. The pigmentation is very vibrant and blendability is incredible. Swatches mean nothing to me even though it swatched amazing, but I judge eye shadows when applying on the eyelids. The brown shimmer shade is my favorite out of the shimmer shades. The brown seems to be smoother and a tad bit vibrant than the other two shades. Both the apricot and gold shades perform the same. It looks like the exact same shade in the swatches but there is a difference. Once I dipped my brush in and applied the color, it seemed a little bit chunky in the pan. But that doesn’t bother me as the pigmentation and vibrancy is still there. Using the Essence spray, I dampened my brush before applying the shimmer shades. There was no fall out at all and I’m very happy with the quality of these eye shadows. I’ve tried high-end shadows that were worse…
I applied the white gold shimmer shade on my inner third of my eyelid, the brown shimmer shade on towards the outer edge, the mauve in the crease and lower lash line. The apricot shade on the brow bone and inner corners of the eyes to highlight.
I have not tried high-end nude eyeliners before but I’ve tried quite a few affordable ones. So far this is the best nude liner that has stayed in my waterline for hours. It is very creamy once applied and one stroke color pay-off. Once it sets, it lasts and the pigmentation is on point. I cannot believe this is so affordable! As you can see in the picture how creamy and pigmented the swatch is, and it’s pretty vibrant on the waterline.
“Essence Extreme Lasting Eye Pencil Silky Nude comes in a silky, soft and long lasting texture and offers strong impactful colour. Up to 16 hours.”

I have used this spray before and went through two bottles of this previously. This does not prolong the wear of my makeup but once I’ve applied all my powders and highlighter, this ensures my makeup sinks into my skin for a natural appearance. It also provides a slight sheen and makes my skin appear healthy. This slightly reminds me of the Mac Fix+ Spray (could be a dupe). If you have oily skin this might not be your cup of tea although it is recommended for all skin types. However, they do offer a matte setting spray too.
“Stay gorgeous! perfectly fixed with just one spray. The light, transparent formula of the make-up fixing spray lies on the make-up like a protective layer and ensures a long-lasting finish. It has a refreshing effect, won’t weigh down the skin and is fragrance-free.”
