As promised here is my current skincare routine. I usually stick to one or two brands only but after Clinique sent these lovely moisturizers, and I love it therefore there are 3 main brands I’m currently using for my skincare routine. I do have very dry to combination skin and it’s dehydrated. I have done reviews on almost all these products before so I won’t go into too much detail on every single product besides a brief description.
IN THE MORNING:
I’ve gone back to this cleanser and I still love it. I believe it’s the cheapest cleanser Clarins offers and is suitable for all skin types and mainly people in their 20’s.
Gentle gel transforms into a silky foam once activated with water. It floats-away all traces of make-up, impurities and pollution—leaving even the most delicate skin looking luminous, clean and perfectly refreshed.
Mild cleansing ingredients help neutralize the drying effects of hard water to ensure comfort.
This cleanser does not make my skin feel tight or dry once cleansed. It also does not make my skin appear dull and dehydrated.
If I’m not wearing makeup I apply this moisturizer. It ensures my skin is nourished all day. I have used this before in the past and have gone back to this too. My skin broke out recently and I’ve been going back to products I know and trust to get it back to ‘normal.’ So far with this routine or regime I currently have these products have been working well for my skin.
The ideal daily moisturizer for women in their 20s. Lightweight cream leaves skin visibly soft, supple, radiant and healthy-looking. Shine-free formula is the perfect base for make-up.
On days I wear makeup I love applying this moisturizer. It’s very hydrating but lightweight and is the perfect base for makeup application.
Lush cream-gel penetrates skin, enhancing natural hyaluronic acid—nature’s perfect moisture magnet. For 24 satisfying hours, skin is plumped, dewy, glowing—from the inside out. Oil-free.
I cannot emphasize how important sunscreen is! I apply this every single day even if I’m wearing makeup or its raining. This does contain SPF 30 with hydrating and anti-ageing properties. This does not leave a white cast and absorbs quickly into the skin without that thick, greasy feeling or residue.
Contain two UVA and two UVB sunscreens combined with very effective anti-oxidants and a small amount of growth factor.
This is a gel consistency and lightweight which is perfect for applying it underneath my concealer. This is very hydrating helps combat fine lines which mine are very prominent.
When I wear makeup I use the Dove Wipes to remove my eye makeup and lip product.
I ran out of the Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm which is usually a staple to take off my makeup. I decided to purchase the Uriage Cleansing Oil as it was discounted. This will last me a while as it contains 500ml of product. So far I’ve used it 3 times and it works okay. Not as good as my Clinique Balm but it gets the job done.
I then remove the Cleansing Oil with this Makeup Removing Cloth. This is a dupe for the Makeup Eraser but it’s so affordable and gets the job done very well. This cloth removes every stitch of makeup even on days I’m too lazy to use the cleansing oil and just go in straight away with the cloth. This is the best removing tool/ method to properly remove my makeup and avoid clogged pores, makeup build up and blackheads.
I then cleanse my skin with the Clarins Energizing Cleanzing Gel.
I only tone at night after cleansing using the The Body Shop Seaweed Clarifying Toner. My skin then feels squeaky clean with absolutely no traces of makeup.
Twice a week I exfoliate and mask. Using the St. Ives Apricot Scrub I apply this after cleansing and toning at night. This is a physical exfoliator that contains granules to remove dead skin cells.
I then apply theGlamGlow Thirsty Mud Hyrdrating Mask for 20 to 30 minutes. GlamGlow has one of the best masks on the market. My skin feels so smooth and super nourished and hydrated once I’ve exfoliated and masked.
When I exfoliate or do a peel I don’t use this for a couple of nights. But on most nights I use this cream. I did a full review on the benefits of Retinoid is and how it works.
On nights I don’t use the RA Cream I use mix a few drops of the The Body Shop Revitalizing Facial Oil with the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion.
I only use this at night as it is a cream and very moisturizing and meant to be used at night. I’ve had this for about 6 months now and it’s still going strong although it was quiet pricey. It’s honestly the best eye cream I’ve used to date. My dark circles have faded tremendously.
Leaves under-eye skin feeling strengthened and replenished. Diminishes the appearance of fine lines. Reduces puffiness and dark under-eye circles. Infused with the same natural ingredients as Midnight Recovery Concentrate plus Butcher’s Broom, which improves microcirculation and reduces inflammation.
No parabens, fragrance, mineral oil or silicones.
I’ve had this lip balm for a couple of months and I’m not even halfway through it. This too will last a while which I am happy about as it is very moisturizing and keeps my lips nourished for the entire night. Especially on a day where I’ve worn liquid lipstick for the entire day. It also helps with chapped, sunburnt lips too.
What are some of your skincare favorites or staples?
