I’m hella happy to have tested this new Clinique Beyond Perfecting Super Concealer . I’ve tried and loved the Beyond Perfecting Concealer and Foundation before, click here to view for a full review on that. Seeing that I loved the foundation I had high hopes for the concealer.
As per the website:

It contains a squeeze tube container for easy dispense. This is hygienic especially for makeup artists. I don’t mind squeeze tubes or doe foot applicators as long as a concealer does not contain a pump as I find I’m wasting too much product. It contains plastic packaging which is suitable for traveling or popping in your handbag.
The foundation wasn’t a very runny or liquid like formula, it was a bit thicker than a standard liquid foundation formula but very creamy. I thought this concealer would be the same consistency but to my surprise the formula is very thin. Even thinner than the average concealer I’m used to. I applied a small amount of the Apricot corrector to conceal my dark under eye circles. Although the consistency of this is very thin this contains very high pigmentation. A small amount concealed my dark circles very well. But the true test is the concealer. I had to mix a tiny bit of the dark and light medium shade to get my shade. I applied one layer and began to blend it out with a damp beauty sponge which is my preferred method to blend out concealer. This blended out very fast. Very fast, like super fast. It took me by surprise at how lightweight, thin but full coverage this concealer is. This is probably one of the reasons why it also does not crease on my under eyes and eyelids at all. At all. This happens rarely because basically almost all concealers crease as I have very fine lines (not wrinkles honey…). I then set the concealer as I do no matter what concealer I’m wearing with a tiny bit of translucent powder.
The only con I have with the concealer is that it did oxidize a tiny bit after about one minute post application, but that didn’t really bother me as this shade was a tad bit too light anyway.
I used the dark concealer to cream contour which is something I never do. This too blended out like a dream with the brush and sponge. I did set the contour with a tiny bit of bronzer (not the usual amount I normally use, far less).
I wore my makeup for 10 hours the first time I tried this concealer and it lasted all day. Some concealers fade, my dark under eye circles start peeking through by the end of the day or it doesn’t look at bright or concealed as it did when I applied it. This however held up and stayed put all day long. I then wore it a couple of days after with different foundations and powders and it held up, mixed well with everything and lasted all day once again.
I will have to get my correct shade in the concealer instead of mixing the darker and lighter shade to achieve my shade. I’m now obsessed with cream contouring and thanks to this dark concealer I’m doing it every time I do a full face of makeup.
