Hey Beauties!
This series has really kicked off this year and I’m having tons of fun creating these looks and playing more and more with color. For today’s look I actually wanted it to be Lilac and let that shade take over, but the purple tones ended up being a lot more part of the look than anticipated. I still love how it turned out though. Hope you do too…
Products listed below as always.
FACE:
Primer: Smashbox Photo Finish Primer
Foundation: The Body Shop Matte Clay Clarifying Foundation
Concealer: Clinique Beyond Perfecting Super Camouflage Concealer
Setting Powder: Yardley Loose Translucent Powder
Contour/ Bronzer: Benefit Hoola Bronzer
Highlight: E.L.F Baked Highlight – Moonlight Pearls with the Lilac shade on top (same shade used on my eyelids).
EYES:
Eye Shadow: Morphe 35N
*The small shimmer palette was an old discontinued palette that is no longer sold online or in store (not that I’m aware of anyway). But there are countless palettes where lilac and purple shades are found. This is just inspiration.
Using a crease brush I applied the light brown shades in the Morphe palette in the crease as transition shades. I then applied the purple shades in the outer crease and crease with the same fluffy, blending brush. The using a flat, dense brush to pack on color, I used this to pack on the lilac shade. I did spray my brush with some setting spray to intensify the lilac shade on three quarters of my eyelid.
Using the deeper purple shade in the shimmer palette I applied this on the outer edges of the eye before the deep purple matte shades also on the outer edges on the eyes. This shimmer purple shade was used to transition from the lilac to the shimmer purple and then into the deep matte purple shades. (I hope that all made sense).
On the lower lash line I used the lilac and purple shimmer shades. The lilac on the inner half and the purple on the outer.
I then highlighted my brow bone and inner corner by mixing the lilac eyeshadow with a white gold shimmer shade.
Eyeliner: Essence Extreme Lasting Eyeliner – Silky Nude (waterline).
NYX Matte Liquid Liner – Black ( to achieve the wing liner).
False Eyelashes: Ardell Demi Wispies
LIPS:
Lip liner: Essence In The Nude
Lipstick: Colourpop X Kathleen Lights – Lumiere 2 and Stila All Day Liquid Lipstick – Perla
I applied this nude lip liner just as a guide line seeing that I was using a purple lipstick and the lines would be obvious if I messed up.
I applied this liquid lipstick on the outer part of my lips and then the Stila on the Centre to create an ombré effect.
Using the lilac eye shadow that was used on the eyelid I applied this on the Cupid’s bow and center of my lips.
