I’m not sure if I’m too late for this review but I guess there are a number of people that have not tried KKW’s first release of products before right? Besides if I’m going to try anything from Kim’s brand I would start off with highlight and contouring seeing that she popularized it back then. I think starting off with these kits was a good choice to introduce her brand as its fitting.
As per the website:
Contour, shade, highlight and sculpt with the KKW Crème Contour and Highlight Sticks. The ultra- creamy and build-able formula makes application easy and blends for a seamless look. The dual-ended contour stick features two shades, ideal for sculpting hollows of cheeks, hairline, nose and jawline. Brightening without shimmer and a shimmer highlight for a more intense glow, use the dual-ended blending brush and sponge to blend the formulas into the skin.
I love the packaging, it’s a nude beige shade which I love nude shades. It’s simple, modern and sleek. This is compact and light which makes it easy for traveling purposes or popping it in your handbag for on the go/a touch up product. It’s also convenient as it contains both the concealer/ highlighting and contouring shade in one product.
I have mine in the shade Dark which compliments my skin tone. There are 4 shades available including Light, Medium, Dark and Deep Dark which is a variety for all skin tones. I could wear Medium as well as Dark which suits my complexion. The only shade I cannot wear on my face is the highlight shade which contains shimmer as it is too dark, but I have worn it as an eye shadow base or by itself which looked so pretty.
The texture of this is very creamy, I honestly didn’t know it was this creamy, highly pigmented and blends out within seconds. I literally spent such minimal time blending this out which was such a joy as I can cream contour even when I’m in a hurry. Definitely 10/10 for the formula, texture and pigmentation.
My only complaint about these sticks is the amount of product you get which is very small. I know KKW is a high-end brand and wouldn’t expect anything less in terms of quality but for that price I expected a little bit more product. I know you don’t have to use a ton of product as it is highly pigmented and it’s supposed to be as compact as possible, but still a little bit more product would be appreciated. I will keep you posted on how long this lasts, maybe by the time I’ve run out of product my opinion would change if it does last quite a long time, but we shall see…
In general cream contouring usually ensures that my bronzers last throughout the day/ night. In conjunction with the powder kit, this lasted till it was time for my makeup to be washed off which I loved. The longevity of this is definitely a pass.
If you wanting to try more than one product I would suggest purchasing the kit as it does end up being a bit cheaper than purchasing it individually, but if you wanting to only purchase one product purchase it individually.
Contains X2 0.9 g/ 2X 0.032 Oz. Made in USA. Lasts for 12 months.
The brush isn’t sold separately as it is only available when purchasing the kit which is good in terms of a business point of view. Some say the brush is not necessary in the kit but I don’t mind it at all especially because it’s a good quality brush and sponge and its double ended, again for convenience and being compact. I do own quite a bit of brushes but mostly affordable brushes so I appreciated a brush from a high-end brand. The bristles are very soft, compact and not too dense and flexible. It pairs very well with the creme sticks as it blends out product brilliantly. These brushes do remind me of Fenty’s brushes as the quality and make is very similar.

As per the website:
Contour, shade, sculpt and highlight with the KKW Beauty Powder Contour and Highlight kit. The soft, buildable powder formula makes application easy and blends effortlessly for a seamless look. The pressed powder quad features two matte contour shades, ideal for sculpting hollows of cheeks, hairline, nose and jawline. Two shimmer highlight shades for brightening and adding glow to cheekbones, cupid’s bow, nose, corners of the eyes, collar bones and any areas you want to add radiant shimmer. Layer the two shimmer highlight shades for a more intense glow, use the angled brush to apply and blend the contour shades, and the rounded brush to apply the highlighter shades.
I have mine in the shade Medium. This is available in Light, Medium and Dark/ Deep Dark. The palette contains a bit of weight which indicates its high-end, quality ish doll! I love the shade of the packaging, again its sleek and simple which I appreciate and very much Kim’s style.
The pan size is very big which will last a while before hitting pan. It contains a huge, good quality mirror which I use to apply products.
The texture of these powders are very soft, great quality and I’m very impressed how minimal product I need to pick up for highlighting and contouring.
I use both shades, one to contour and the other to bronze. I thought the highlight shades wouldn’t suit my complexion but the shade with the yellow undertone actually works on my complexion. It’s not one of those blinding, metallic highlighters (which are now available in her new release) but this is such a smooth highlighter which provides a beautiful glow from within on the skin. The other highlighting shade I can used as an eye shadow, brow bone and mixed in with a deeper/ dark highlighter. This lasted all day long and paired with the brush to apply the product worked very well.
Do not dig and swirl your brush in this vigorously as these powders are highly pigmented and a little goes a long way.
Contains X4 7.25g/ 0.26 Oz. Made in USA. Lasts for 12 Months.
I’m happy with these products and quite impressed with these products. I will be reaching for these products on a regular basis as the quality and longevity is worth it.
In all honesty I think Kim and her team is doing a terrific job with her line, KKW is growing and I love seeing brands expand and aim to produce quality and unique concepts.
What do you think of KKW Products?
