My Current Top Five Concealers

Hey Beauties!

Concealers are one of my favorite makeup products to apply but at the same time something I struggle to find really good ones as I am so picky. I have dark circles and fine lines which makes my job harder as I feel like I cannot wear just any random concealer to disguise my dark circles and not settle into my fine lines.

Therefore I finally found five concealers that all perform very well after testing so many.

I look for concealers that are medium to full coverage; hydrating/ creamy that lasts the entire day without fading or creasing.

Each review is in no particular order. I also tried to incorporate high end and affordable options.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer – Custard

As per the website:

The #1 concealer in the U.S.* Coveted by artists and non-artists alike for its luxurious texture and luminous finish, Radiant Creamy Concealer delivers all-purpose perfection for all skin tones. Enriched with hydrating, multi-action skincare benefits and light diffusing technology, it creates a softer, smoother complexion while instantly obscuring imperfections and diminishing fine lines and signs of fatigue. Available in 22 shades.

  • Medium, buildable coverage
  • Longwearing
  • Radiant finish
  • For all skin types and tones
  • Paraben free
  • Alcohol free

My Experience:

This is a concealer that has been raved about for years and I only this year was the first time I’ve tried it. I have mine in the shade Custard and although is recommended for light to medium skin tones (I’m tan) this still works for me as I love highlighting and concealing at the same time.

If or when I choose a concealer a few shades lighter than my skin tone I often use it to highlight or mix with another shade.

I love the packaging as all Nars packaging is simple and modern. The consistency is creamy; it does not crease and blends into the skin very well within seconds. The longevity lasts throughout the day or night and I can rely on this concealer when I feel very tired in the mornings as this brightens up my under eyes and stays vibrant and fresh looking all day. I don’t have to use a ton of product to achieve full coverage and I love how creamy and hydrating it is.

I love that its available is so many shades which is diverse.

Maybelline Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser – Neutralizer

As per the website:

What it is:

A super-concentrated treatment concealer features a micro-corrector applicator to help instantly erase dark circles and fine lines.

This concealer for dark circles and find lines instantly creates a radiant, refreshed looking eye area. Infused with goji berry and Haloxyl. Packaging may vary, what you receive may not be what is reflected on site.

Available in 12 shades.

My Experience:

I chose this shade in Neutraliser to mix with other concealers that is close to my skin tone. This is super fair but very full coverage, creamy yet light weight which is perfect to mix with other concealers.

The packaging is clear with a twist up applicator and sponge which some people hate but I love the packaging and dispensary system.

I wore this alone a couple of times although it brightened my under eyes very well, it stayed as bright and highlighted the entire day which surprised me. The performance of this concealer is amazing as well as the creaminess and texture which can make my skin appear very smooth. It’s literally called a dark circle eraser for a reason as well as a treatment. My under eyes do tingle ever so slightly when applying this but soon goes away once I blend it, I suppose that’s the treatment factor.

Mac Cosmetics Studio Waterweight Concealer – NW25

As per the website:

An ultra-fluid formula with medium-full build-able coverage and a natural finish. While it hydrates and gently diffuses the appearance of imperfections, it also helps reduce the appearance of under eye circles, dark spots and discoloration.

  • Long-wearing, eight hours
  • Provides instant hydration
  • Reduces appearance of under eye circles, dark spots and discolouration
  • Non-settling and non-creasing
  • Provides stay-true color
  • Non-caking and streak-resistant
  • For all skin types, especially normal to dry skin
  • Dermatologist tested
  • Non-acnegenic

Available in 16 shades.

My Experience:

I have done a full review on this concealer, click HERE to view. Therefore I won’t go into too much depth and rather state the main points.

The packing contains a dropper which is different to the conventional concealer wands. I chose my shade very close to my skin tone NC35 which helps conceal my under eyes and I love using this as an eye shadow primer.

The consistency is very thin and lightweight but very hydrating and moisturizing. It does not crease or settle into my fine lines whatsoever.

Because the consistency is thin and the shade is close to my skin tone, I prefer mixing this in with other concealers to achieve a highlighted, brightening effect.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer – Shade 30

As per the website:

Introducing Maybelline’s first gel concealer made with no waxes or fillers. It conceals without feeling heavy or looking cakey, skin appears brighter and awakened. It instantly conceals to help reduce appearance of skin imperfections. Coverage the way it was meant to be… even, natural and breathable.

Available in 11 shades (as per the website, there could be more instore)

My Experience:

I’ve always loved this concealer and use to use it years ago. I’m not sure if they changed the formula or if this is different to the fit me I used years back, but if that’s true I still don’t mind it. The formula is still as creamy, easy to blend, non-cakey and pigmented.

I really love how creamy this is and very easy to blend considering it’s so affordable. It blends into the skin very well as none of these concealers crease under my eyes or settle into fine lines.

I know I included two affordable concealers both from Maybelline but honestly Maybelline concealers are bomb and perform just as well as a high end concealer.

Clinique Beyond Perfecting 24 Hour Concealer – Moderately Fair

As per the website:

Cover up without touching up for 24 life-proof hours. Instantly and easily blends into skin to flawlessly conceal imperfections. Transfer-resistant formula stays put—even through sweat and humidity. Provides immediate hydration to keep eye-area skin feeling comfortable, looking fresh and natural. 18 shades in total—including a must-have apricot-colored corrector shade to help tackle dark circles and discolorations.

My Experience:

I have done a full post on this concealer, click HERE to view. One of the best concealers I’ve tried in a while. I have mine in the shade Moderately Fair to help brighten and highlight the center of my face. I can achieve full coverage within seconds and it takes no time at all to blend.

The packing contains a squeeze tube which is hygienic and I can control how much product to dispense. This will last quite a long time as I only need a tiny bit under each eye to achieve full coverage.

I love mixing this concealer with other concealers. It’s non-drying and although it is a little thicker than other concealers but it doesn’t crease at all and lasts the entire day.

I really love the Apricot corrector as well and it quickly became my holy grail corrector under all my concealers.

What are some of your favorite concealers?

  1. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer is one of my faves too!! The best part is it’s really affordable and great quality! Loved your review, I’ll have to check out some of the other concealers you listed! 💗✨

  2. So far I have to say it’s MAC’s prolongwear concealer. I do intend to buy the Clinique one because I heard it was hydrating. I need to ask: what number is moderately fair? 6?

  3. I used to use Fit Me by Maybelline when I first got into liquid concealers but I switched to Lasting Perfection by Collection as I preferred it. Maybe I need to go back and revisit it 🙂

    1. I must admit the NARS and Maybelline perform almost the same, the Maybelline could actually be a dupe.
Yeah the Clinique is my go to for full coverage staying power. Xx
