It’s safe to say absolutely everyone is on their highlighting game whether the sun is out or it’s partly cloudy.
These are two palettes I’ve recently added to my highlighter collection. This isn’t a dupe with similar shades, but I figured I’d do a post about both these palettes instead of separate posts. I thought I’d give one affordable option and then one high-end.
As per the website:
a radiant and sun-kissed look on the face, body, neckline and shoulders is easy to achieve with this palette, which contains two highlighters in light gold as well as rosé gold and two bronzer shades that can be applied individually or combined. the soft texture has a high pigmentation, blends easily and offers a gorgeous, summery shimmer.
This palette is compact with clear packaging. The size is small enough to travel with and fits into small spaces very easily.
Each pan contains a fair amount of product that would last a substantial amount of time even when using it on a regular basis. This can be used on light to deep skin tones and with my complexion I’m able to use 3 out of the 4 shades or mix a couple of them together. But it doesn’t go to waste as I can use this for the inner corner of my eyes or as an eye shadow.
The texture feels smooth with intense pigmentation. Not a lot of product is needed to achieve a glow and it can be customized to a subtle or intense glow. The shades are true to what it appears in the pan with no much kick up or fall out which is what I appreciate.
The shade on the left is my favorite as the champagne tones compliments my skin tone very well. This does not emphasize any texture and simply melts into the skin.
For the price, I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful and smooth this looks on the skin. It’s a palette I can wear on its own or mixed in with another highlighter and perfect for daytime. I really love the quality of the texture, pigmentation and opacity. Another gem from Essence!

Shade Descriptions –
Marshmallow: White pearl
Gumdrop: Duo chrome pink lilac
Starburst: Icy pink
Butterscotch: Honey gold
The packaging is standard, cardboard, a substantial size, lightweight and sturdy enough to travel with. I love the glitter and shade on this particular palette and in the sunlight or flashlight it beams and looks pretty.
Anastasia glow kits are raved about for a reason. The formula is very smooth, buttery and highly pigmented.
The shades in this palette are unique and would only suit people with fair to tan or deep skin tones. Dark and deep dark skin tones wouldn’t be able to wear this unfortunately.
Because the shades are so unique and shift I’ve worn it as eye shadows as well as a blush topper and it looks so gorgeous worn those ways too. I didn’t think I could wear Marshmallow but it has a champagne/ light gold shift which makes it wearable and so beaming.
All these shades require minimal effort/ application to achieve a radiant, glowing but also blinding metallic finish which is customary.
It’s a palette I’ve been reaching tons for lately especially for the shade Butterscotch which is my favorite.
This does not emphasize any texture even after building it up to a metallic finish, it melts into the skin and looks radiant and glowing.
The pan size of each highlighter is big and this will last quite a while before running out.
Contains 7.4g/ 0.26 Oz. each
