I am so proud of this post today as this company is from South Africa, Cape Town specifically which is where I am from. Firstly, as I always do, I love incorporating some background on brands especially brands new to me.
‘Pink Cosmetics make-up, bath and body products were launched in 2014 by the vivacious and fun-loving Janet Stewart. Hand-made in the beautiful Mother City (Cape Town). It’s easy to see why nature is the main inspiration behind Janet’s creations.
The wide variety of moisturisers, scrubs, oils, masques and mists available from Pink Cosmetics are sure to fulfil each and every one of your skincare needs. Functionality is number one, but it doesn’t hurt to add some sparkle to your daily skincare routine, making your “me time” even more sumptuous.
Luxurious and one of a kind, Pink Cosmetics products are produced with the highest quality ingredients and integrity – no parabens, sulphates and petrochemicals, no testing on animals and all vegan. Janet’s mission is to educate consumers about what they are using on their skin, “I want to educate other about the dangers of harmful ingredients that cause damage to the skin. I want them to feel empowered and to know that there are safe and superior options available – and Pink Cosmetics epitomizes this truth so wonderfully!”
Drawing from nature, all of our Pink Cosmetics products are handcrafted and perfectly inspired by Natures Knowledge – PINK.
I was very kindly sent a Facial Mist, Micellar Water and Make-up Brush Cleaner. NB, even though I was sent these products, my experience and opinions are all my and own and honest.

I am a facial spray addict. I have about five currently and love keeping my skin hydrated throughout the day especially before and after makeup application. This is such a great addition to my collection as it can be used when I’m not wearing makeup and when I’m wearing makeup. I’ve tried mists that ruin my makeup or disrupt my makeup but this doesn’t.
I love the packaging on all their products. Pink is my favorite shade (I know, I’m such a girly girl). Their logo is cute and the font is adorable and eye catching.
The scent is very pleasant and with the few natural ingredients it contains I can mainly smell the rose factor which is divine.
The mist is fine and I love the sprayer as it dispenses the product evenly, and not too aggressive or too fine where it feels like I’m spraying nothing on my skin, it’s a fair medium where just enough product is distributed. It may seem like a small factor but the way product sprays onto the skin can determine my experience with a product. Thankfully the packaging and spray mechanism is perfect and sprays evenly and just enough to mist and hydrate my skin.
This makes my skin feel hydrated, it absorbs within seconds into my skin and with only 3 sprays my skin left happy. We are in winter now and this is convenient enough to travel in my handbag. I spray this throughout the day at work, if I’m home I use this around the house during the day and it’s absolutely refreshing for a ‘pick me up’ any time of the day. I have dry, dehydrated skin and using something like this to quickly and effortlessly hydrate my skin within seconds is a necessity at this point.

Ingredients – Aqua (water), Sodium lactate, Aloe barbadensis leaf juice (Aloe), Rose Hydrosol, Aqua (Water), Wheat Amino Acids, Soy Amino Acids, Arginine HCl, Serine, Threonine, Allantoin, Olive Oil PEG-7 Esters, Cocomiprodyl Betaine, Salix Nigra (Willow) Bark Extract, Propylene Glycol (and) Diazolidinyl Urea (and) Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate
The first time I used this was to remove waterproof mascara and a full face of glam make-up. It would have been disgusting to show you pictures of the cotton pads because it removed every single ounce of makeup and dirt. For the waterproof mascara I made sure to apply the cotton pad for about 20 seconds on my entire eye area and then gently wipe away. This did a good job of removing most of the mascara and the rest I removed with some cleansing oil.
I usually use cleansing balms or cleansing oils to remove my face makeup and micellar water to remove my eye makeup and after my face makeup is removed with cleansing balm, I then use micellar water to wipe away makeup one more time. For the first time I did not use cleansing balm and only this for my entire face, this did work well too but I’m use to using cleansing balms for my face and have now stuck to my usual routine of using micellar water afterwards.
The next day I did not wear waterproof mascara and it removed my mascara so well it was impressive!
The scent is pleasant and makes using all their products fun and luxurious.
I’m eyeballing their makeup melting cleansing balm as well seeing that I love removing my makeup with that.

Keep your precious makeup brushes in tip top condition with our solid brush and sponge cleaner. It easily removes dirt and grime while conserving water and your valuable products.
Not only are these super effective in keeping your makeup brushes clean and germ-free but they are also great for travelling and are oh so easy to use. Each compact cleaner contains soothing cocoa butter and olive oil to condition and easily break down excess residue and germs.
These beauties have been handcrafted and individually poured by a makeup enthusiast with a passion for quality products, offering real value and superior results. This here is the ultimate cleaner for makeup artists and travellers alike.
How does it work?
Simply wet your brush or sponge with clean water. Next, wet the top of your cleaner in its container, and swirl the wet brush around on it to activate the cleaning ingredients. Remember, the dirtier your brush, the less it lathers. Rinse and repeat until your brush or sponge is perfectly clean and germ-free. Don’t waste those fabulous bubbles! Make perfect use of them by cleaning your next brush.
For liquid foundation removal, use a brush egg to help remove stubborn stains. When done, rinse the soap under water and leave to dry upside down. We recommend that make-up artists spray your brushes with alcohol once they are dried to ensure a 100% sterile finish.
I usually use liquid anti-bacterial soap mixed with olive oil to clean and disinfect my brushes. The only solid soap I’ve tried is from The Original Beauty Blender Solid Cleanser which is expensive as it is an international brand and to get it here in SA it’s quite pricey.
This is like a 2-in-1 convenient dream. It disinfects and nourishes my brushes all in one product, and it’s cheaper. I don’t have to spend extra cash on olive oil and liquid soap and seeing that this is in a solid form it lasts much longer too.
I can also use this for my sponges as well which I also spend extra on bar soaps. I can thankfully use this for my sponges and brushes which is perfect.
It’s convenient and compact for traveling and does not take up a lot of space.
The scent is light and pleasant like all their products.
I washed all my brushes over the weekend and I was shocked to see how much makeup was trapped inside my brushes. Some synthetic brushes were stained from colourful eye shadow which I struggled to remove the previous occasion I washed my brushes. This removed all the stains from the colourful eye shadow as well as the dark eye shadow I used recently. I didn’t have to swirl my brush for too long as well to remove the makeup and dirt, it quickly removes EVERYTHING from my brush within seconds. This also cuts down time I spend cleaning my brushes and sponges and most of all, my brushes were dry within hours! I could use it the very next morning which I did and they were all dry, disinfected and squeaky clean.
This honestly surprised me the most and is now my Holy Grail brush and sponge cleaner.
I love how cute the design is with the strawberry and champagne theme and its aesthetically pleasing to view. I swirled my brush and sponge around the strawberry because I don’t want to ruin it, it’s so pretty. They do offer ones with a unicorn in the middle, mint, seahorse, pink peony etc. which is such an adorable added touch to this product.
Pink Cosmetics does also offer international brands on their site. The variety of products is extensive with a lot more coming our way as she’s expanding and growing. Janet is on fire and I wish her and her company so much success.
I have a coupon code which is REEVA. This gives you 10% off your purchase. Your support is greatly appreciated.
