Custard For Your Hair…?

Hey Beauties!

I was browsing at my local pharmacy for a product that will tame my waves and curls as I like having the flexibility of wearing my hair natural or straightening it.

After reading the claims and noticing the gorgeous packaging I was intrigued. I’ve never tried or even heard of this brand before and it’s quite new to Clicks Pharmacy. The price is also very affordable and I decided to give it a go.

Aunt Jackie’s Defining Curl Custard

Directions:

Apply Curl La La generously to wet or dry hair and use a diffuser while scrunching style into place, or allowing to air dry. For Elongated, Bouncy Curls or Spirals, apply to wet or dry hair, gently stretching curls with your fingers as you style, using a diffuser, hooded dryer or allowing to air dry. For Coils, Braid-Outs and Twists, apply a small amount to sections of wet or dry hair, roller/rod set, braid or twist each section. Sit under a hooded dryer or allow to completely air dry, then release each section, finger styling into place. Keep hair clean and healthy by shampooing, as needed, with OH SO CLEAN! Moisturizing and Softening Shampoo.

My Experience:

Usually when I wear my hair curly or wavy I only apply hair oil to soften the curl and add a tiny bit of hair gel. I found that the hair gel increases dry flakes as my scalp and hair is extremely dry. I was on the hunt for a product to tame my hair when I wear it curly/ wavy and natural.

I was glad to see that this does not contain any harsh chemicals and it’s affordable. The texture is exactly as the name suggests, custard-like and creamy with a fresh scent.

I applied this to my hair after washing it and once it was almost dry, braided my hair and went to bed. The next day when I loosened the braids my hair was tamed, the waves and curls were bouncier, vibrant and appeared shinier than usual. Thankfully this didn’t make my hair feel straw-like or hard, and best of all it didn’t increase dry flakes or cause dandruff.

I’ve been using it for about 3 weeks in total when my hair has been curly or wavy and so far I’m loving it. It’s a great additional product to have especially for flyaways and to tame my hair when it’s in its natural form.

Contains 426g/ 15 oz. of product. Retails for R89,95.

Have you tried this brand before? What are your thoughts?

Thanks for stopping by 😊
