Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Foundation Review

Hey Beauties!

I purchased some more products from Makeup Revolution recently and wanted to give this foundation a try seeing that the concealer was all the hype.

Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Foundation

As per the website:

Ageless. Unisex. Affordable. Yours.

NEW to the Conceal & Define family, meet our Conceal & Define Full Coverage Foundation.

Offering lightweight yet build-able coverage in 50 skin-true shades, this versatile foundation is designed to suit every skin type and tone.

With an oil-free yet creamy and comfortable formula that dries down to a long-lasting, demi-matte finish, it won’t settle into fine lines or cling to dry patches.

Housed in a luxe glass bottle with a jumbo doe-foot applicator for greater control and less waste, this foundation offers highly pigmented coverage that can be layered or diffused to suit your look.

Swipe on and blend out to ramp up the coverage for a ‘real skin’ finish that diffuses blemishes and uneven skin tone. Or let your complexion’s natural character shine through using a small amount with a damp beauty sponge for veil-like coverage.

Follow with your favorite shades of Conceal & Define Concealer to highlight, contour or conceal.

VEGAN. CRUELTY FREE, PARABEN FREE, OIL FREE.

How to use:

Swipe on wherever you want coverage using the doe foot applicator. Blend out using a synthetic brush or damp blending sponge. For added staying power, finish with a setting powder and fixing spray to lock your makeup in place all day.

My Experience:

I enjoy the glass bottle with huge doe foot applicator. I would recommend this for personal use only as it will not be sanitary should one use this in their makeup kit. I don’t mind this applicator as I do not have to apply this to a makeup tray or the back of my hand, I can apply it straight onto my clean face.

I usually apply about four strokes on my cheeks, nose and forehead as my initial layer. If I need added coverage I will apply a tiny bit more on my forehead and T-zone for added coverage and it layers very well.

This does provide a matte finish as stated. The first time I wore this foundation I didn’t expect it to appear as matte as it did. However, the staying power was incredible. It did make my skin feel a bit too dry even though it lasted the entire day and stayed in place. I do have dry skin and the second time/s after that I ensured to prep my skin by moisturizing it very well and applying a dewy or hydrating primer. That definitely made a difference and my makeup still lasted the entire day.

I would definitely wear this makeup on special occasions or if I know I’m going to be out and about for an extended period of time with barely time to touch up.

The shade range is incredible and I’m glad brands (not all though) are getting it right with their extensive shades. Online they offer informative descriptions on each shade which makes it very easy to match your shade up. I chose the shade F11 in store and was lucky enough to swatch and test it in store instead of online.

I would definitely recommend this foundation especially if you someone that enjoys a matte medium to full coverage foundation with oily, combination or normal skin types. If you have dry skin ensure that you prep your skin well to ensure it does not appear too dry or dull on your skin.

Makeup Revolution can be purchased at Clicks Pharmacy in store or online. Contains 0.8 fl. Oz/ 23 ml of product.
