Essence Cosmetics is coming through with their latest release of products. I’m so happy affordable makeup products are stepping up their game.
As per the website:
These eyes shadow palettes are sure to appease your wanderlust and convince with their highly pigmented colors. Inspired by the trendiest fashion capitals of the world, the powdery eye shadows reflect the respective lifestyles. Salut Paris comes with velvety textures in rosé shades, G’DAY SYDNEY stands for earthy tones with metallic effects, Hello New York presents nuances ranging from grey to mauve in partially iridescent textures and Ola Rio offers a selection of metallic shades with a glowy finish that are inspired by the colors of the Brazilian sunset.
The outside packaging of this is appealing. On the inside it reminded me of the KKW eye shadow palettes especially seeing that a few of the shades are similar. I love the color story and layout of this as it provides varies looks to be achieved from this one palette.
This consists of 3 Matte shades, 2 shimmers and 4 Metallic shades as to my knowledge. All these earthy tones are highly pigmented with excellent blend-ability and even the most subtle dip with light pressure ensures sufficient color payoff.
The metallic shades are one swipe intensity and all these shades blend very well into each other with ease. You do not have to struggle to make these shades work and this is definitely comparable to high end eye shadows which completely shocked me.
I purchased mine at Clicks Pharmacy (currently only in store), Dischem Pharmacy (currently in store only) or Takealot.com for an affordable price of only R149. For this price you definitely not wasting a cent as the quality, longevity and blend-ability is of great standard.
I’d love to get my hands on the other palettes like Paris or Rio too:)
The look I created using only the eye shadow palette:
Have you tried these Essence eye shadow palettes before? What are your thoughts?
Thanks for stopping by:)
