These have become slowly but surely my everyday ‘must have’ products. Should I run out of any of these products I will immediately repurchase it. I could literally complete this routine in about 7 to 10 minutes at this point by repeating these steps and using these products has become second nature whereby they all coincide very well together. This may be too much makeup for some to wear on a daily basis or this could be too little, but to each their own and this is what works for me and what makes me comfortable.
I do wear primer every single time I apply makeup. At this point it’s honestly more of a habit that I’ve formed by wearing primer before foundation. But at least it’s a good habit I have attained to in my opinion.
Both these primers are not affordable but when it comes to skincare I do tend to go the extra mile and splurge a bit more, especially if this is the first makeup product I’m applying to my skin. The Chanel primer is great for everyday with added skincare benefits and can be used for all skin types too. The Smashbox primer is also great for everyday but fills in pores and fine lines as well as blurs imperfections. I use the Smashbox on days I feel like I need a smooth, filtered effect.
My favorite part (besides highlight) is foundation. I use to have days wear I would wear concealer under my eyes and then just spot conceal on certain areas of my face during the summer or warmer months. However, now that winter is approaching I wear foundation on a daily basis. All these foundations have similar finishes whereby my skin is left appearing dewy, hydrated, skin-like and fresh. Absolutely love all these foundations combined or on its own.
I’ve stressed in the past that I have very dark under eyes as it’s hereditary. At this point I’m only interested in wearing full coverage concealer to cover up the darkness. This combination has been the best of both worlds in terms of coverage, longevity and durability.
I have to set my makeup even though I have dry skin. I don’t bake and only apply one thin layer, but I don’t understand how some girls can get away with not setting their makeup, even not setting their under eyes, please explain?
As you can tell how much product I’ve used, I really do enjoy mixing both these shades to achieve a natural contour and bronze tone on the parameters of my face. I’m not really fussy when it comes to bronzers so to be honest when I run out of this which is soon; the options are not limited as which to try next.
This does vary from time to time, actually from day to day but currently I cannot put this down. It’s my favorite and compliments my skin tone so well. I can tone this down to a skin-like natural glow or I can hype up the glow to a point where it’s blinding.
I keep it simple on the daily by just outlining and filling in my brows with a pencil, set it with some brow gel and move on. Brows are my least favorite so I do not spend a lot of time on it.
Some days I do wear eyeliner which is more or less only 2 days out the week, but I cannot skip mascara, ever. Sometimes I do wear mascara on my bottom lashes but most days I do prefer leaving the bottom bare (I know that’s a lol moment). And of course everyday my top lashes needs to be coated though.
- Setting Spray:
I cannot tell you how many bottles of Mac Fix+ I’ve gone through in my lifetime. I’ve used other mists that come close, but this is the best in my opinion. This melts all my powders into my skin and gives my face a fresh, healthy appearance. My skin then appears healthy and skin-like for the entire day.
I did not include any lip products as it changes every single day…
Let me know if any of these products are one of your favorite too?
Thanks for stopping by:)
