The Body Shop Fresh Nude BB Cream

Hey Beauties!

The Body Shop Fresh Nude BB Cream

Before heading off for vacation recently I wanted to purchase a BB cream that contained SPF as well as light coverage on days that I wanted to even out my complexion. I decided to purchase this from the Body Shop as this contained an SPF 30 and the coverage was light to build-able. I will also be wearing this BB Cream throughout the summer months as it’s slowly approaching.

As per the website:

My Experience:

The packaging is sleek with a squeezy tube convenient for travelling. I took this with me to Thailand specifically for the claims and SPF factor. It contains an SPF30 which is convenient to wear during the day when I wanted to even out my complexion and appear radiant but protected.

Seeing that it’s not exactly a foundation, technically a BB Cream it does provide light coverage or a bit more coverage than some other BB Creams I have tried in the past. I usually apply two coats but for this trip and the how hot is was, one coat was sufficient to provide enough even tones to my skin without blocking my pores or give the appearance of wearing makeup.

I chose mine in the shade Tan but what sucks is the shade range unfortunately. I suppose when it comes to BB or CC Creams brands do not focus on a huge shade range as this adjusts to your natural skin tone. However, I purchased this before leaving for my trip and this shade suited and blended very well with my natural complexion. As I become darker/ tanner throughout the trip I only applied a thin, light layer of this as my skin become darker/ tanner and I used a tad more bronzer than usual to make this work. Not that it was a big issue or that this discouraged me from wearing this, I will still continue to use this BB Cream as the summer months back home are slowly approaching.

Its a very convenient product that melts quickly into the skin. I would recommend using this or blending this out with your fingers or brush for maximum coverage and fast application. A sponge will soak up some of the product from my personal experience. I have featured this in my 10 Minute Makeup Look on Instagram ( @beautybyreeva) to view this product being used in action and how radiant and skin-like this appears on my skin.

I’m not certain on the no flash claim as I have not worn this at night and was more focused on the SPF30 UVA/ UVB protection it provides during the day. It does however provide a healthy sheen with hydration and appears more dewy on my complexion which I’m not complaining about as I have dry skin. If you have oily or combination skin I would suggest using a translucent powder to set your T-zone or all over your skin if want this to last the entire day.

Overall I would recommend this BB Cream especially for warmer months where you would not want tones of coverage or wear a full coverage foundation. This is lightweight, perfect to wear on an everday basis and can be used to protect your skin too.

Have you tried this specific BB Cream before? What are some of your favorite BB, CC creams or light weight foundations for the summer months?

Thanks for stopping by 😊
