RVB HD Lifting Effect Foundation

Hey Beauties!

RVB HD Effect Foundation

Our salon recently started stocking RVB LAB Makeup. This is a professional high quality brand made in Italy and sold at selected spa’s and salons. Makeup artists throughout the world use this brand and it is available on RVB’s website too. I’m a foundation junkie and decided to give their HD foundation a try first and foremost. FYI they do offer hair and skincare products too.

As per the website:

The new foundation HD lifting effect improves the look perfectly uniform, relaxed and toned face. A new formula enriched with wakame extract and PERFECT- LIFT- COMPLEX. It gives uniformity to the complexion, reducing redness and signs of age.

Contains 30ml/ 1 fl.Oz of product. Made in Italy. Available in 6 shades.

My Experience:

RVB is an Italian makeup and skincare brand that is only available on their website or leading spa’s and salons. Tons of makeup artists use this brand for runways, fashion shows, photoshoots, special occasions and can be used on consumers for an everyday basis too. This line contains no heavy metal, gluten free, vegan-friendly, paraben-free and not tested on animals. Suitable for all skin types, even the most sensitive as there are no harsh ingredients and rather skincare benefits with high standard properties. This is more of a treatment makeup with high quality formulas.

I chose the HD Lifting foundation as this offers medium to buildable coverage, anti-aging properties for normal to dry skin. The packaging is sleek and simple and I love how esthetically pleasing the entire range is. This contains a pump but you able to see how much product is used or how much you have left in the see through container. I chose the shade 66 which suits my complexion. unfortunately they only carry 5 shades in this range and 66 being the darkest. For me to just make it in their shade range sucks as they do not offer shades for deeper complexions. Apparently there isn’t a demand for deeper complexions in their foundations and concealers, therefore I’m going to need the Italians to step it up as it’s 2019 and marketing their shades for only fair to tan complexions is not cool in my opinion. That is my only negative point on their range. But let me get to the good stuff…

This is a treatment foundation with myo-relaxing properties from perfect-lift complex which is derived from a herb, Spilanthes Acmella for a smoothing “botox-like” effect. It is very smooth and creamy which adds hydration and comfort throughout the day. It contains a skin-like affect and remains in tact throughout the day. I apply two to three pumps for medium to full coverage, but you welcome to add only one pump for light coverage. This can be applied with a brush, sponge or fingertips.

Overall I am very impressed with this foundation. The longevity, the amount of coverage it provides, how breathable it is, the beneficial ingredients, the packaging, the whole nine yards is an A+ in my books.
