As promised these are the best of the best for last year. I kept it simple and really cut down to only the best of the year.
I’ll go in order of how I apply my makeup…
Primer and Foundation:
I love how hydrating and soft this makes my skin feel and appear. It feels like a moisturizer but does not fill in your pores or keeps your skin matte. It contains skincare benefits which is a great add on.
This is one of the best foundations I’ve tried to date. The consistency, longevity and most of all how dewy and absolutely flawless this makes my skin appear is unbelievable.
I specifically love the longevity of this foundation. Also it remains looking fresh as if I’d just applied it even though I’m hours and hours into wearing this foundation. Although it appears more matte on my skin it remains flawless throughout the entire night and does not settle into my fine lines.
The lancome is more of a lightweight, minimal makeup look which I enjoy if I don’t really want to wear a ton of makeup or if I’m doing a ‘no makeup, makeup’ type of day. This also contains skincare benefits which again is a great plus.
Concealer and Powder:
This concealer is a dupe for Tarte Shape Tape with similar packaging and performance. It’s full coverage, long wearing, matte and flawless.
I love how hydrating yet full coverage this concealer is as well. Side note, I have dark circles therefore I only wear medium to full coverage concealers.
This powder is truly translucent. It does not alter the shade of my foundation or concealer and the texture is extremely thin and light weight. Absolutely love how this can work for dry skin as well as oily skin.
This is such a versatile palette and so far I’ve used every single shade as well as mixed a couple of shades together on occasion too. The pigmentation, quality and longevity is of a high end palette so it’s hard to believe this is affordable.
I’m in love with the shade and sheen of this blush. This is by far my favorite blush from Mac.
Both these undertones suits my complexion very well and it’s quite versatile in terms of how blinding I want it to look or I can tone it down.
Although this is a powder foundation. I purchased this in a deeper shade to use as a bronzer. This blends out like a dream and the coverage is just right. I can build this up or apply a light layer and both methods work well.
Eyes and Brows:
Cannot get enough of this palette. I’ve used each and every shade and love the color story.
Essence makes one of the best mascaras on the market. I love this primer and mascara combination to provide both volume and length.
I’ve used these lashes for dramatic looks, with winged liner as well as soft looks without liner. It completes my eye looks so well and I love how much volume this proves and just the right length for my eye shape.
I cannot get enough of this brow combination. With this pencil I can complete filling in my brows in exactly one minute, not even kidding. The gel sets it and makes it look natural but keeps my hairs in place without making my hairs feel hard or ‘heavy.’
Pretty self explanatory.
This can be worn daytime or night time and I always receive compliments when wearing this. It’s girly yet sexy and I’m addicted to wearing this whenever I go out or have special occasion to attend.
The notes are:
It combines an inflection of three accords: blackcurrant nectar, modern chypre and light musky wood.
The fragrance opens with notes of Sicilian Bergamot, Mandarin oil and blackcurrant liqueur which is supported by a heart which bursts with Rose May, Neroli and Egyptian Jasmine. Warm undertones caress the unique chypre base notes of Patchouli oil intertwined with Blond Woods, amber and musky undertones known as OrcanoxTM.
Finished with a sweet animalic accord of Vanilla which gives this fragrance, longevity and unforgettable sillage.
What are some of your favorites from 2019?
