Aunt Jackie’s Coconut Line Review

Hey Beauties!

I’ve tried one or two other products from Aunt Jackie’s line before, therefore when requiring a new shampoo and conditioner I decided to turn to this line. I don’t usually stick to one brand for Haircare and love exploring my options as a pose to skincare where I’m a bit more strict as to what I use.

I have dry hair and the coconut line caters to dry hair.

As per the website:

Aunt Jackie’s™ delivers with a nourishing collection of Coconut Crème therapies. Each super rich, creamy, moisture-intensive recipe keeps hair of all textures and types easy to manage and style. The esoteric benefits of coconut are known worldwide. As a penetrating remedy, it gets inside the hair shaft to deposit long-lasting nutrients that help to improve hair’s health, overall.

Aunt Jackie’s ™ Coconut Crème Recipes can help:

• Reverse chronic dryness, breakage & damage,

• Restore & rejuvenate hair that has been over-processed,

• Create a healthy moisture balance, improving porosity,

• Smooth & shine rough, brittle tresses,

• Give definition & bounce to waves, curls and coils

• Fill in cracked cuticles.

Coco Wash – Coconut Milk Conditioning Cleanser

Great For

Dry, Rough Feeling Hair

What will it do for my hair?

Aunt Jackie’s amazing Coconut Milk Conditioning Cleanser will leave your hair clean and free of impurities, while feeling touch-ably softer. Coconut Milk has been used throughout the ages to help hydrate hair and treat dry scalp. Blended with other essential ingredients including Avocado and Shea Butter, Aunt Jackie’s Coco Wash is excellent therapy for all hair types and textures, Gentle enough to use daily.

My Experience:

I love the scent and consistency of this cleanser. It suds up and my hair feels clean after using this.

Unfortunately that’s the only good factors this had. This made my hair appear extremely dull and weighed my hair down. It felt soft but also as if it coated my hair therefore weighing it down as mentioned. Usually after shampooing or cleansing my hair would feel hydrated and soft but not weighed down. I used this twice and both occasions I disliked how my hair appeared and working with the texture of my hair was not manageable.

Unfortunately this cleanser was maybe not suited for my hair and even though I have dry hair, this did not target my needs.

Thankfully Aunt Jackie’s line is reasonably priced therefore I wasn’t too disappointed this didn’t work out for my hair. I might mix it with other shampoos instead of wasting it or use it on my daughter’s hair.

Coco Repair – Deep Conditioner

Great For

Deep conditioning & softening dry, damaged hair.

What will it do for my hair?

Infused with carrier oils that pull nutrients into the hair shaft, Aunt Jackie’s Coco Repair recipe helps to improve the look and feel of chronically dry, fragile tresses. Whether damage is from chronic dryness, over-processing with chemical straighteners or color, heat styling, braiding, or certain environmental conditions, Coco Repair is an effective remedy to help return hair to a vibrant, softer state. Especially good for 2c-4c textures.

My Experience:

This container is a substantial size therefore it would last quite a while especially as I have short hair too.

The scent smells divine but not overpowering. The texture is thick as it is a deep conditioner.

I apply this after shampoo and leave it on for at least 15 minutes or when I have time I would leave it on longer. This provides ultimate smoothness and softness to my hair. It does not weigh my hair down or leave behind a residue.

Seeing that the shampoo/ cleanser did. It work for me, I used this with a different shampoo from a different brand and it was compatible with another shampoo. My hair remained soft, smooth and hydrated.

Contains 426g/ 15 Oz of product. Retails for R99.

I purchase all Aunt Jackie’s products at Clicks Pharmacy.
